Re: Last post

I have absolutely no idea why I can't leave comments...argh.

Anyways, in response to your comments:

In terms of making use of the New Media course, there would certainly be roles for the material learned there.

Examples include using HTML/CSS to host the game (and relevant game manuals/credits etc); SQL databases to store data (characters, dialogues, events, perhaps even 3d models...); actionscript for the 2d minigames or information panels that may appear in the 3d environment...

It's definitely possible to incorporate the course content within the game.

If we take the route where you enroll in New Media, and I start a new special topics course with game programming + Javascript, then role-division would be something like this:

Wensi and Geoff would take care of the core content (3D models, 3D environment) with Maya-rigged characters, as well as Maya generated landscapes.

I'll be at the back end taking care of the game logic, on how things would interact with each other in Javascript/Unity.

Shapton would taking on a data integration role, putting all the content together via HTML/CSS and SQL. Also, adding in 2D content via Flash.

How's that sound?
